History
Talent Zoo was founded in 1996 by Rick Myers in Atlanta, Georgia, and originally began as a traditional off-line recruiting company for advertising agencies. Myers launched the company from a spare bedroom in his condo, and then quickly moved it to Atlanta's Bohemian Inman Park neighborhood. The company grew and began developing a web presence in 2001 as sites like Monster.com, Headhunter.net, and HotJobs.com were achieving success selling job postings. TalentZoo.com soon emerged as a leading niche job board, and was named by Forbes as "Best of the Web for niche job boards in 2002."
Talent Zoo has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times, as well as various trade publications such as Advertising Age and Fast Company. Rick Myers was voted one of Atlanta's "40 Under 40 Most Promising Young Stars" by the Atlanta Business Chronicle in 2006.
